The brief was to create a 180° island. This was a challenging project, given the shape of the room. |

Metallic and luminous paints were used for detailing on the butterflies. The cabinets and work station were disguised as old wood. |

Due to the natural door breaks and handles, we decided to create a beach hut here. The central doors open to reveal a continuation of the scene. |

The dimmer switches needed to be hidden. A sign and parrot were the solution. |

The walls in this colourwash were pulled to give texture and add aging. |

The cabinets were dragged and stippled, the walls washed. The trompe l'oeil is based on the view from the window. |
